From unretouched skincare campaigns to silver-infused conductive gels, the April 2021 cosmetic trends roundup highlights innovative launches that reflect current beauty trends.

Notably, La Roche-Posay recently launched a new campaign dubbed ‘Skin is More Than Skin. The ad focuses on real people, showcasing the effect skin problems can have. The ad states that “50% of people with skin conditions self-isolate due to skin problems, 79% of eczema patients have missed out on work as a result of their conditions and acne is one of the main reasons 350,000 days of work or school are missed annually.” La Roche-Posay hopes its unretouched skin campaign will give others the confidence to wear show their skin proudly.

Another interesting example from April 2021 cosmetic trends comes from Bea’s Bayou Skincare. The brand was launched by young black entrepreneur, Arielle Brown, as a probiotic treatment for scalps and is an effective relief for seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, and other skin inflammation issues.
