A drunken man had to be rescued from a bin lorry filled with waste after getting stuck outside a McDonald’s, police have said.
The unfortunate mishap took place after the man climbed a ladder on to the side of the filled truck and jumped inside.
When police spoke to the unnamed person who had become trapped he apparently could not explain why he was there or who he was.
Detailing the incident in a post on Facebook Enid Police Department said officers responded to reports of a drunken man becoming lodged inside a bin lorry on Monday.
Police rushed to the scene at the Oklahoma McDonald’s at about 4.45am.

The truck driver said that the man, who has not been named, had climbed up on to the side before leaping in.
The back half of the lorry was said to be full and could not be opened without ‘endangering the man inside.’
Police said: “Officers spoke with the man, who would not identify himself or explain how or why he was inside the back of the trash truck.
“So, we did what anyone else would do: We called our neighbours at the Enid Fire Department and asked to borrow a ladder.”
Bemused officers then lowered the ladder into the bin lorry and the hapless man was freed, before being taken in custody.
Officers added that the man was later processed as “John Doe” on complaints of ‘public intoxication and obstruction.’
A complaint of bringing contraband into the jail was later added, police said, when some marijuana was found inside his sock.
Police said: “Somewhere in all of this is a lesson to be learned about getting too trashed.”
