Marks & Spencer praised by Game of Thrones fans over “incredible” jumper

One man left Game of Thrones fans in stitches after he noticed a rather unusual detail in his Marks and Spencer jumper.

The stripes matched up perfectly to the colour of the books – making it a rather aesthetically pleasing jumper.

The £29.50 jumper went viral on Reddit after the customer posted it on the site, adding: “My M&S jumper matches my Game of Thrones books colours.”

On the M&S website, the description states: “This block striped jumper makes for the perfect autumn piece. Ribbed knit for a casual, everyday look. Soft hand-feel for all-day comfort.”

Weirdly, they’ve not mentioned that it will coordinate perfectly with your battered Game of Thrones books.

People were left oddly happy after the man posted a photo of the jumper to show off how well it matches.

One person joked: “We Do Not Sew.”

Another referenced George R. R. Martin’s slowness to complete the much-anticipated series, as they quipped: “The jumper is probably a hoodie and M&S has been promising to send the hood for the last 5 years.”

One Redditor agreed as they commented: “This right here is why George RR Martin hasn’t finished the series, he also has an M&S jumper and doesn’t want to ruin the aesthetic with an extra book.”

A fourth added: “This is incredible. What a spot.”

But others were left thinking about the bigger picture, as one fan commented: “I b***** love an M&S jumper.”

Meanwhile, the national chain was praised last night after issuing a statement to customers who may feel unsafe.

Amid an ongoing row on women’s safety sparked by the alleged murder of Sarah Everard, M&S urged people to shelter in store if they needed support

The statement reads: “If you ever feel unsafe, please come in and stay as long as you need to. Our colleagues are here to help you.”
